IPC Centrifugal pumps Test Bench

The test bench allows to perform functional tests on a centrifugal pump

Pump performance ranges

It is possible to test Centrifugal pumps with flow rate between 4 and 150 m3/h with a maximum head of 250 m and a maximum power of 75 kW.

The test allows to determine, under specified conditions, the following characteristics:

  • Total head produced by the pump
  • Pump capacity (rate of flow through the pump)
  • NPSHr – net positive suction head requirements of the pump
  • Power input to the pump
  • Efficiency

The test bench plant consists of the following main components:

  • Skid structure
  • Protection system
  • Tank
  • Flowmeter
  • Pressure transducers
  • Control valve
  • Rev counter
  • Control and Command board
  • Pressurization system
  • Data acquisition and analysis system
P&I
The pressurization system allows to change the system reference pressure (maximum pressure in the tank 5 bar (g)). For the NPSH test, the system can be depressurized up to an absolute pressure of 60 mbar (a).

The test bench control system, installed inside a control room near the bench, allows automatic tests execution.

The pump test bench from IPC is designed to comply with the state of the art. Data is automatically generated for each pump being tested and specific test documents are produced
